What is an OEM?
An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is an organisation that sells under its own name and brand and is also responsible for building the product. Examples include HP and Canon.
What is a compatible cartridge?
A compatible product fulfils the same purpose as an OEM product but is not manufactured by these companies. Using compatible cartridges from an organisation such as Laser Exchange will give you print quality equivalent to that of an OEM cartridge.
Do compatible cartridges last as long as OEM cartridges?
Through our stringent manufacturing processes, Laser Exchange compatible cartridges are guaranteed to match OEM yields. All our compatible cartridges are manufactured according to OEM specifications
What happens if I start having print problems?
If you experience a print problem of any sort – change the cartridge. This will tell you whether the problem is a cartridge problem or a printer problem and you can take appropriate action by either calling your cartridge supplier or your service company. Laser Exchange has a fully qualified printer service team and has a reputation for outstanding service in this area - see our SERVICE AND SUPPORT page.
What if a cartridge damages my printer?
When you are using a Laser Exchange “Results Plus” cartridge in your printer, your printer is also warranted by Laser Exchange against any damage. These problems are extremely rare as it’s almost impossible for a cartridge to damage a printer.
How long does a cartridge last?
Page yield depends on your usage patterns and the type of printing you do; the expected number of standard printed pages also varies with each cartridge. Laser Exchange "Results Plus" compatible cartridges meet or exceed the OEM stated page yield.

"Results Plus" cartridges have a shelf life of approximately 12 months and for optimum results they should be used within this period. There is a "use by" date on the bottom of the box.
Does using compatible cartridges void my printer warranty?
No. Your printer manufacturer cannot void your machine’s warranty for using cartridges other then their own. This is specifically stated in User Manuals. It may possibly void your service contract if you have a binding agreement with an OEM to use their supplies. For more information, please contact Laser Exchange.
Why should I use Laser Exchange "Results Plus" cartridges?
QUALITY!
All Laser Exchange "Results Plus" cartridges are individually tested at our manufacturing facility and must pass through rigorous quality control inspections. Quality Assured under ISO 9001, Laser Exchange quality standards include testing before, during and post-production. Cartridges are tested under different temperature and atmospheric conditions and even put through simulated shipping conditions. These procedures ensure high-quality product output on a consistent basis and our company aim is to produce compatible cartridges that outperform the OEM cartridge.

PRICE!
Varying from cartridge to cartridge, Laser Exchange "Results Plus" cartridges are up to 50% less expensive than OEM cartridges.

LOCAL SUPPORT!
Laser Exchange is WA based, owned and operated and employs 20 or so other West Australians.

THE ENVIRONMENT!
Our environment, locally and globally, needs recyclers!
Why should I recycle cartridges?
Each year millions of cubic metres of non-biodegradable laser and inkjet cartridges are simply thrown onto landfill. Laser Exchange recycles thousands of laser toner cartridges each month and just to give an example, 1000 laser cartridges saved from landfill is the equivalent of saving the metal and plastic from 9 standard household fridges!
Why does paper keep jamming in my laser printer?
Lots of possible answers! Paper that’s too thick, too thin, or coated with an unacceptable chemical finish might be responsible – check your printer User Manual for acceptable paper types. A label may have become detached from a sheet (Hint: Never re-use partial sheets of labels). Or you may have a worn-out pick-up assembly (responsible for picking up the paper from your tray). If you're fed-up with your feeding problem, go to our SERVICE AND SUPPORT page.
Why and when should I use the Density Control setting on my printer?
If your print is too light or too dark, the Density Control is there to overcome the problem. The means of accessing this control vary with different printers. Some are physically adjustable, some software-adjustable. Refer to your printer User Manual.
What does a fuser assembly do, and why do I have to change it?
The fuser melts the toner to the paper so that it adheres permanently. It is a replaceable item in your printer, and its usage cycle varies with various printers. Some printers require fuser replacement with a Maintenance Kit after a certain number of pages have been printed, others indicate the need for replacement with marks and lines on the page. Call the Laser Exchange Technical Services Department in either case – we’ll solve the problem. Just go to our SERVICE AND SUPPORT page.
Why should I have my printer cleaned when there’s nothing wrong with it?
Preventative Maintenance, as delivered by Laser Exchange, cleans your printer internally, removing paper dust debris and stray toner which can build up and impair print quality. We also disassemble the fuser, checking for wear and cleaning it thoroughly to extend its life. Other internal areas are also cleaned as well as the exterior casings.
Importantly, a written report on your printer is supplied, indicating any areas which may require attention, either immediately or in the future. For full details see our SERVICE AND SUPPORT page.
